Bridgewater, New Jersey – March 24, 2011 – We are pleased to announce
that Vesna Drenovac, RPh, MS, President of Vemco MedEd, LLC, earned
the National Commission for Certification of CME (NC-CME) Professionals
designation as a Certified CME Professional (CCMEP™). CCMEP™ is the
only credential that designates qualified individuals as Certified CME
Professionals. Only about 300 individuals hold this designation.
NC-CME certification program was created and launched in 2008 as a
means to verify knowledge and skills of CME staff and providers. This
program is also a response to close scrutiny by the government, the
public, and the CME profession which is placing an increased pressure on
the medical education industry and their funding sources to validate the
integrity of CME programs. The NC-CME final examination enables CME
providers to monitor and document their ability to be compliant with
national guidelines developed by groups such as the Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation
Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA), and the Health and Human Services Office
of the Inspector General (HHS OIG).
"In this time of unprecedented changes in healthcare education, it is
important to stay informed and relevant. The CCMEP designation confirms
that you and your organization indeed are informed and relevant. We
strongly support the efforts of the CME community to create a system
that insists on established standards of professionalism related to the
specialty of CME. In fact, this certification process acknowledges
academic degrees, CME work experience, and professional involvement
in CME related activities." said Vesna Drenovac, President.
